The Homestead Farm

Our Story

The Homestead Farm at Fruit Hill Orchard was established in 2016. Owners Katherine Solenberger and daughter, Emily Warren, opened this farm market to offer homegrown, healthy and local produce to their neighbors or folks passing through. The Homestead Farm gets its name because it has been in the Solenberger family for five generations. Great-great grandfather James Thwaite began growing apples here in the mid 1800's and the family has continued the tradition of large scale commercial apple production to this day with the family business, Fruit Hill Orchard.

Here at The Homestead we are committed to growing our produce organically using only heirloom (non-GMO) seeds. Our gardens are planted and harvested by hand.

Inside of our store, we have homemade from scratch baked goods and a variety of local items such as honey, meat, jam and jelly, coffee, tea, handmade candles, soaps and much more!

We have a sitting area in our café, where you can enjoy coffee or lunch. Also, upstairs is "Granny's Attic" where you'll find a variety of primitive and antique items for sale.
